Have you ever noticed

As you look back on life? 

How much we need God

In the deepest valleys.  

Yet can forget to stay

Close on the mountaintop.

Moments of darkness 

Allow us to still our hearts. 

Listening, so carefully 

Seeking, so dearly 

Any Word from You.

But when we ascend 

When life flows effortlessly 

Sometimes we can believe our 

Stories of overcoming and 

How we did it all ourselves.

With age and experience 

We notice our how valleys 

Build more reliance and faith.
